Table Maintainance Generated but getting error when running SM30

Hi Experts,

I am modifying existing ZTable with around 31 fields and Maintainance was not allowed before also no Table maintainance was there. Now i have changed the attributes to allow maintainance and tried creating Table Maintainance generator.

The TMG get created sucessfully but get error message when running SM30 for the Ztable with Run time error saying Coversion Error .

Error Analysis says :

Program SAPLZNMSLG attempted to display the fields of screen 0005 and error occured during the coversion of this data.

Can any one let me know what happened? Expecting replies at the earliest.

hi,

Run ABAP dictionary utility SE14 transaction and activate & adjust database.

I guess this should work.

Thanks , but its not making any difference still it the same. Should i recreate TMG after this or delete and activate and adjust database? Please let me know.

Hi,

Please using database utility , adjust the table and regenerate the TMG.

and try to find out any negative or minus(-) symbol is there in table quantity or numberic record.

if negative value is there then change the element list - text i/o templates tab Text or I/O field include ending variable 'V'.

After u're done with ur modifications with the table. Delete existing TMG and create new, but before that check any custom code is existing in the TMG. If still getting the error. Then activate and adjust database in database utility.

Hi all thanks for your reply.

I tried all the means but table as mentioned by Nandha has negative records in it.

Nandha i opened the Element List- Text or I/0 field but dint get where to put V or what you mentioned for that quantity or amount field . Please clarify.

Hi,

In Text I/O Template Tab each field name will be there with Column- Name, Type and Text Or I/O Field

Go to Text OR I/O Field (Fields Wherever u have negative value).

Name                     Type         Text Or I/O Field
vbak-menge         I/O                _.___.___.___,____V

Just add existing blank field ending with V.

I have put like this for the field *ZNMSLOG-APPAMT TEXT Approval_amount__________________________V

Is it correct as yet not arriving at the result so ?

go to technical attributes.

Generate the screen once again.

set the screen no. and authorization group.

In delivery nd Maintainance check it should be Maintainance allowed.

and delivery Class should be A.

Then after that Utilities-> Activate and Adjust database.
