I have an HR module requirement that when ever user create a IT0008 'Basic Pay' Infotype and after that when he press

the SAVE button the system after saving should take the user to the selection screen of 'PAY STATUS REPORT' as the name suggest its shows the comparison between current and the last salary,

I was wondering, what will be the best way of doing this . should I user the PAI user exit to display the popup message to execute the pay status report, or should i use dynamic action, or anyother way please suggest.

Hi,

Dynamic actions are used when changes are required in action.So since 0008 infotype is maintained independently i suggest to make changes in the pai part of userexit.

Not exactly you can also use dynamic actions on individual infotypes, the use of dynamic action is like,from within the infotype which you are creating you can make changes or create another infotype, it also take care of the lock personal number....
