Need a Function module/BAPI to update a Variant used in tcode KKAJ or CJ8G

Hi Experts,

Is there Function module or BAPI which I can use in my Z-prog to update one existing variant that is been used in tcode KKAJ or CJ8G for adjustment in projects/WBS.

KKAJ is report you can use following fm to update the variant

'RS_CHANGE_CREATED_VARIANT' - update existing variant

'RS_CREATE_VARIANT' - create variant.

Thanks a ton for your help.

I am able to export the list of projects from my Z-table to the Select-option of Tcode KKAJ but facing below error while executing, Any idea how solve the error??

Please find below error description......

Select "from database" or "from archive" indicator

Message no. OK024

Diagnosis

You have not set an indicator on the selection screen for the physical location of the data.

System Response

No data will be selected from the logical database.

Procedure

Set one of the following indicators:

From the DB

From the archive

If you want to select data from the archive, you must also enter one or more archives from which the system should retrieve the data.

Hi,

This is happening because when you are chaning the variant you are not setting the check boxes for either from database or archieve. Check if you have 'cn_dbdat' or 'cn_arcdt' in your variant one of them needs to be filled.
