RFC Call Function BDC error

We are trying to execute a Call Function BDC thru a RFC and we have rcvd following error :

Exception condition "CNTL_ERROR" raised.

A RAISE statement in the program "CL_GUI_CUSTOM_CONTAINER=======CP" raised the

exception

If we execute the Call Function BDC in APo without RFC, it works fine but only getting this error when trying to execute from ECC thru RFC.

Please suggest.

Hi Jay,

I think the BDC has many screen as we can see by the error that the customer container is raised.May be the BDC is running in the foreground which creates problem in the screen execution.So please check with the screen.It will work try installing latest GUI patch.You can have a look on the thread.

Hi,

If the screen is having a custom container then BDC will not run in background mode.
