Hi everybody,

i call my RFC as a background task. After the background task is over i want to call the funciton call 'CALL_BROWER'. How can i realize this?

            CALL FUNCTION 'my_background_task'
              IN BACKGROUND TASK DESTINATION 'NONE'
                EXPORTING
                     ......

If i put the RFC 'CALL_BROWER' into the function 'my_background_task' it will not be called. Is there an other way i.e. to recognize that the background task is over and than start 'CALL_BROWER'.

regards,

Sid

a background task is really started at the next COMMIT WORK, in asynchronous mode, so I don't advise you to wait it's over (moreover, it's asynchronous and detached from GUI so it's useless calling CALL_BROWSER in this task). If you call it asynchronously (instead of tRFC), then you'll be able to wait (see sap library or abap manual).
