Hi friends,

I have some minor theoritical cum practical oriented questions in Badi's.

Could any one please help me in resolving the queries.

1. What is the use of Multiple check box in Badi definition. If multiple check box is not checked can we create more than one implementation for the Badi.

2. What is the use of Filters. Can we use more than one filter in a single Badi Implementation logic.

3. I have a Badi where multiple check box is in unchecked status. Can I implement more than one implemention for this Badi.

If we cannot implement the new implementation and there is only this Badi where I need to incorporate the logic then what should be my approach for this badi.(here assume that you have already an implemenation created by some other person and your requirement also suits the same Badi)

Hi,

1. If the multiple check box is ticked it means multiple implementations of the same badi are allowed.

2. Filters help you to restrict the BADI usage depending upon the filter values.

Say for example you want that the BADI should work only for a specific warehouse then you have to put the warehouse number in the filter field.

3. Incase the multiple checkbox is not ticked then only a single implementation is allowed and you will have to make changes in the existing implementation if you want both of them to work.

Hi Ankur,

For single implemenatation how can we incorporate the both logic.

Think I donot want the other logic to run when my functionality triggers.

COuld you please throw me a light on this little clear.

Hi,

in that case you will have to put some check in the code as to identify it is for your functionality and avoid the code of the earlier implementation.

Restrict your code based upon certain condittions such as order type or plant or material etc.

Hi,

you distinguished your Logic that will be excute and the other existing logic base on some condition like eg T-code.

or some condition which tigger your code and other code will execute when it required to trigger.
