BDC Error in VA01 when called from RFC Bapi using ASP.Net

Hi all,

I have writtem a RFC bapi program that passes data into bdc of tcode VA01 to register orders.

When this is executed from SAP side , order is created succesfully.

But if the same RFC is called from a ASP.Net program with the same data it is

showing erroras invalid date in customer order purchase date (bstdk) and order is not getting created.

can u please help ?

sample coding will be mores useful

Hi,

Most probably the the data in date field is not comming properly.

means if the SAP system date setting is suppose 01/02/2009 and it's getting date in the form of 2009/02/01 or 01.02.2009 or 01-02-2009 etc.

then it'll throw the error.

if possible please debug your program and check. if this is the reason then please do the required formating of date field and assing it to the BDC field value.

Hi,

Can you check and compare the date format coming in SAP from ASP.NET. with the one set in the user profile of RFC User.

To see date format please set external break-point in SAP and debug the same. You can able to resolve it.

Hi,

Ask the ASP person in what format is he passing the data to R3 or check the date passed from asp using debugger as mentioned above. Goto user profile of RFC USER in transaction SU01D and check the date format under defaults tab.
