EXCEL_OLE_STANDARD_DAT automatic excel files open problem on task bar

Hi Experts,

I am using the FM - EXCEL_OLE_STANDARD_DAT to generate download file in Excel file format with password protection. But i observed that, after each execution of program, on the taskbar automatically opening excel download files, in which user has to close these generated excel files every time. After that, when i try to open downloaded excel files, it is opening with password protection.

Please help me to aviod this automatic files open on the taskbar after each program exection.

Hi Basani ,

If you look at the FM , there is a call to the FM MS_EXCEL_OLE_STANDARD_DAT , in that is a statement

set property of obj_ex_app 'Visible' = 1.

This will result in the excel being displayed , so you will have to search for an alternate FM , or create a new FM with the same code , the only change being

set property of obj_ex_app 'Visible' = 0.

Hi Arun,

i have looked for the alternative FM, but i did not any FM with Password protection for Excel download, except this FM EXCEL_OLE_STANDARD_DAT . If you know any alternative FM, please provide me. Otherwise i will create create a new FM with the same code , i will change the below as suggested by you.

set property of obj_ex_app 'Visible' = 0.

I am also not aware of any alternate FM , so may be you can try to copy the FM into a custom FM and make the required change.
