Looking for FM for BOM conversion program

Hi everyone,

I've been assigned to look for possible FMs we could use for the BOM conversion program.

Any possible ones you could suggest? I found several and i'm testing them out now.

Function module CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 is an excellent choice.

Thanks for the reply...but i would like to ask how do i test it?

From what i could understand, the conversion program that we need is suppose to pump in the data from the legacy system and upload it into SAP

HI Bernard

You can use LSMW to upload BOMs. This is a free utility which can be downloaded from service.sap.com - there are also user guides avaiable for it.

Using LSMW you specify what you want to upload, where the input file is, what translations/constants/etc. have to be maintained, and then execute the upload.

Thanks to everyone, i managed to find the FM that i needed:

<b>cs_bi_bom_create_batch_input1</b>

Now that i've managed to find it, i am looking for another FM for Routing conversion...anyone used something like it before?
