searching for strings in forms

Hi,

I'm looking for help in terms of looking up strings (string patterns) in forms. I use RPR_ABAP_SOURCE_SCAN but that doesn't seem to work with forms. By forms I mean both smartforms and sapscript forms. Any help on that is welcome ;).

hi,

try to open script in se71 and enter script name and display..

next go utilities-->form info... here you can see the all the form information anout strings & variables and text elements

oh well there you got quite a task.

it´s an ugly task, so ugly that i first come to the question, "For WHAT the heck do you need this?" "Cant we find another solution?"

Sap-Script form are nothing else than Texts, and due to that they are stored in STXL and STXH tables, where STXH is the header table.

but the data of your script is not stored in readable format so i dont really know how to search here for certain texts.

Smartfiorms: What happens if you activate a Smartform? an Function module is getting created/generated.

Nut a 100% sur but i guess Function modules are getting stored in REPOSRC.
