Mails trigering from unknown userid

Hi Forum,

We are facing an issue in our production system.

We are using the FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 in a BADI for sending mails.But all these mails are trigered from an unknown emailid i.e. when the reciever recieves the mail in the From field it is always the same userid , that happens to be the ID of our previous employee.I believe idealy in the From field it should always be the value of SY-UNAME .

Please help me on this.

Just a thought, Is this mail generated by background job if yes then check the user id under which this backgroud job runs.

Hi Anubhav,

Please let me know that the workitem defined is by userid or rule or authirization.Check these if there is still that id present.You need to check the Agent you have specified in the item.If there is event check the event there also we need to mention about the user.Hope your query resolves soon.

Hi,

I guess its the mail id belonging to the user, which is assigned in SICF

Execute sicf ->Right click on sapconnect->Display smtp settings ->logon data

Also check in scot.

Hi Anubhav,

Please check if this UserID is assigned to the config in SICF transaction.

Also check for the user details in SU01 t-code. Check if Profile S_A.SCON is assigned to him in the Profiles tab.

This could be the reason for mails getting sent from his ID.

To solve the issue you need to replace this ID with a system user ID.

Hi Pawan,

The mails not getting trigered from any bg job but from a FM . I tested by giving my mailid and I get the mail from that same emailid.

I checked the user profile in SU01.

The Profile S_A.SCON is not assigned to that user.Following profiles are assigned..

SAP_ALL		All SAP System authorizations
SAP_NEW		New authorization checks
T-SP950001		Profile for role ZBS:SPRO_DISPLAY
T_56184351		Profile for Activity Group SAP_IDOC_IMPLEMENTATION
T_AC980036		Profil zur Rolle SAP_EC_BBP_ADMINISTRATOR

Hi Anubhav,

I dont know what you have specified in Agent section.So i take an example suppose you creating activity in your work item.

You click on activity.The screen changes See the first TAB now it is control TAB

There in the second selection screen box you see the Agents options here we specify which ageant will be receiving the work item.

Now see there are 10 options to choose for specifying the user.These user will be receiving the work item in thiier mail box.

It is role rule etc etc.

Now suppose these role rules etc etc have been created earlier.It means that in those specification. may contain the user

who is obselete now.So to remove his id you need to check the rules, roles, expression, job, potision, etc etc .and from there you need to remove the user id.

It is like while defining the user you might have used "universal set" from this universal set remove the particular entry.

Hope you feel comfortable to check these things.

Hi Anubhav,

Do you really need SAP_ALL access for this user?

Also check if this is the same user that is maintained in t-code SICF.

If yes, then replace this with a system user ID, generally we use user MAILADM for the same.

Can you check your System Profile first and check in your system profile,which user email id is configured.

generally a background user will trigger these jobs after certain events

you can probably check for the background event in SM62

and details of job in TBTCO table

if you double click on the job in SM37 and click on step

it will show which program and user will be triggering the job detail you will be getting
