Capturing warning message in BDC recording

Hi all,

I want to capture a warning message that is getting popped during BDC recording. When BDC is ran in background, it is stopping at that point and further processing is stopped with the display of this warning message.

Can anybody help me in capturing this warning message?

Hi,

BDC will not stop Processing on getting Warning/Information Messages..it still continues the processing. While recording the SHDB Warning/Information Messages are not captured.

Check you might be missing to populate any of the fields. If you want to capture the messages you can use the CALL TRANSACTION with additon MESSAGES . Check the syntax.

Hi,

If you are usin standard include BDCRECX1, then the warning messages with be captured in the messtab. Download the MESSTAB table. You can see the warning mesages.

I am using BDC recording for transaction VI02. When i am running this in forground, during the whole process, warning message popps up, which we can skip by pressing enter and the proceed further with the BDC recording. But again it haults after 2 more screens. This is the case when we run it in foreground.

When we run it in background, this warning message is displayed in a error log and BDC stops there itself. So, i am not able to understand if warning messages do not get captured in BDC then why it is getting displayed finally and BDC processing is also getting affected.

hi arachna

add this code when u get warning in bdc

perform bdc_dynpro using 'SAPMV10A' '0200'.

perform bdc_field using 'BDC_OKCODE'

'/00'.

'SAPMV10A'----

> your program name

'0200'----

> your screen number

Hi,

Check is the Error message displayed as Warning Message..Debugg the Tcode... in this case you need to find why message is getting populated.

I am trying to change the profit center using this BDC. So, when i change it, this warning is displayed and it goes inside one more window and coreects the new profit center added in the previous window. So, this warning message is necessary to be displayed. But my problem is that because of this message my BDC is also not proceeding further.

The warning message is getting displayed as a pop-up. I am not getting any information about the screen number. I know the prgram for that but no the screen number. And can you please tell me what that piece of code does? So that i can try it out in my BDC.
