Table Maintenance Dialog

Hi,

I have several custom tables for which table maintenance dialogs have to be created. While creating a TMD, a function group name has to be given. This function group then gets created automatically when the TMD is generated.

I want to know what is the normal practice while selecting the function group. Should a new function group be given for each custom table or the same one can be used? If the same one is used, will it cause problems when the TMD of one of the several tables has to be regenerated/deleted?

Hi,

Usually i only give a single Function Group for all TMG's as we will be having more than 20-30 odd custom tables. Till now i have not experienced any problem in that... Lets wait for what others say too...

Hi,

All the table maintainance dailogs will be stored in table DD25V...

while creating Table maintainace you can give the Function group or same custom table name at the place of

function group.

generally if the all the custom tables related to one FI -credit card or any one group they create function

group and they specify that function group for all custtom tables ..so it is easy to see the form routines

or easy to modify..

Dear Kumar,

You can give single function group for your TMD. Later you can delete any of TMD, It will not give any error.

Try to give the define the Function Group with the same name of the Custom table so that it will be easier for you for future reference.
