Upgrade - Cloned Program's List

Hi All ,

I am working on the Upgrade Project and would like to get the complete list of the cloned Programs in the Sap system. Please let me know the easiest possible approch / solution.

Hi Sangeeth,

I am not sure abt fetching the exact list of cloned programs.

Check in this tables TADIR and TRDIR.

If u have Standard SAP Program name try a wild card (*) search .These names will be prefixed by Z or Y.

Got a blog Just now.Its for getting Clone programs list.

Instead of making changes in the SAP Standard objects, You take a copy of the standard programs and customize the application to the business needs.The copied Object is called a Clone.

Some sites maintain a list of all cloned programs. Some sites have a comment block in all cloned programs explaining the original SAP program. Some sites enforce a naming convention on cloned programs so the source can be identified.

Unless something like this has been done, and kept to, it is not possible to find them all in any mechanical way. All you can do is examine ALL developments in your Z space, and... hope.

( Which is why, unless the original is needed, I prefer modifying the standard to cloning. As cloned programs usually use unreleased function modules and SAP includes, cloning is not any safer than modification. And, as can be seen with this problem, cloning is actually less safe when it comes to upgrade ).
