BDC for COMMPR01

Hi,

I am not able to record a bdc for transaction 'COMMPR01' in 'CRD'. I have the authorization for creating materials.

Please see what i want.

Run transaction shdb for recording a bdc for transaction 'COMMPR01' in 'CRD'.

Go to menu --> products --> Create --> Material.

For Category is hard coded in my case it is 'MAT_ZCPT'.

Click on configurable then continue.

After clicking on continue i have to fetch the Material & description from the excel table.

Then click on General tab . Write : 'Competitornew' it is hardcoded then enter.

Then i have to agin fetch the values for general info and material info from excel table.

Then go to material tab.

Write in unit of measure textbox 'nos'.

Then click on relationship and fetch the values for product & crossseling from excel sheet.

But when i tried to record the bdc,

after clicking menu --> products --> create --> material

The screen where "for category" is to be hard coded didn't appeared instead of it the recording stops.

Please help.

Hi Jonu,

after the recording if u want the hard coded value to get displayed u need to modify the reocrded code .

First of all u need to knw the screen number where u need to enter the hardcoded value

dat u can get from system-->status. (on dat particular screen)

then u need to knw the screen field name of the hard coded field

dat u can get by pressing F1 by placing the cursor on the field

no with the screen number and screen feild name

go the the recorded bdc program

and introduce the field exactly as others and hard code the value there.

Hi Jonu ,.

I tried Recording the Steps u told,

u simply need to check the Checkbox - Cont. after Comit ,while craeting the recording .

After This it will allow you to record your complete steps.

Hi.

I have a doubt in my mind.

Can you explain why should i use continue after commit and why the bdc was not recorded earlier.

I had never used continue after commit while recording a bdc for other transactions like qp02,cs02 etc.

Can you please explain when we should use continue after commit and when to not.

Hi ,

The Option Contin. after Comit is used in BDC recording so that

CALL TRANSACTION USING... is not completed by any COMMIT Statement coming in the recorded screen..

AS u might be knowing whever a new transaction is called a New SAP LUW is created , and the LUW will be terminated , whenever it encounters a COMMIT statement .

So for recording Screens in such cases, we shd go for the option -cont after comit .
