Transaction Variant

Hi,

My requirement is to restrict the user based upon variants. One user should not access the other user variant. He should be restricted to usage of his own variant.

I am trying to create transaction variant via SHD0. Problem is it is working in case of dialog transaction but if i try this on normal report transaction or any other non-dialog transaction like MMBE, it is not allowing me to create transaction variant saying "Transaction variant can only be possible in case of dialog transactions".

Ideally if i am able to create the transaction variant and then attach it to transaction through SE93, the goal can be met but challenge is how to do it for non-dialog transactions!!!!

If anybody come across this scenario, please guide me.

Hi ,

Exactly same problem I faced erlier .

The transaction variant is not possible for the selection-screen.

It is possible other than the selection screen.

I think your report have a selection screen and for that you want to create the transaction.

I think in this requirement Transaction Variant will not work.
