Deleting customizing requests

Hi,

There are some customizing requests which were created to add data to some customizing tables. We want to delete these requests since the data do not have to be transported to other systems. Will deleting the requests result in deletion of data too?

Also, if you have a link to a good documentation on transport requests, can you please share it.

Hi,

Deleting the request will not delete the data. transport request is just a indicator whether the particular data or object should be moved to further systems or not. it has nothing to do with the existence of the object or data as such.

u2018Unlock tableu2019 option in SE14 will allow the data get deleted at the application and database level . u can reimport this delete TR and check.

You can delete the Request directly that will not delete the data, however, it is always recommeneded that you move this request, create another request with Reverted changes or new changes and move that one. So that the latest one exits.
