LSMW doubt

Hi,

I have a field in my R/3 transaction, which is mandatory field. But in the legacy file the same field is not available or not relevant(No importance to that particular field). In this kind of situation how to handle that particular field in R/3.

In the field mapping write the code to assign your default value to the field.

hi,

how are you transporting the data from legacy to R3? If you are uploading through LSMW then you can just pass a default value in this field so that it doesnt throw error.

Look into the check table of the field i.e the master table from which this field is picked. Consult your Functional folks and they will give you the correct value.

please let me know the Tcode and the field you are talking about. Since this is a mandatory field in SAP so it should be filled with relevant value. A functional derivation is absolutely needed.

if the field is mandatory then u have to enter the data into it ...

otherwise it wil throw an errror....u cant upload the data without entering the values in that field

if filed is mandotory u need to pass the data into the field so that you wont get any issues when u r uploading. so contact u r related Functional guy get proper input from them then proceed according to that .
