Hello kumar katta,
follow the steps to implement field exit.
1. Run the program RSMODPRF and give your Data element of the field. eg. MAKTX
2. It goes to the SE37 with the function module to be created.
3. Create function module and write the code there.
4. Go to CMOD transaction code and enter PRFB in the command field(Where we enter transaction code. Do not enter /n or /o in front of PRFB) and now press ENTER button.
5. Search MAKTX using global search on top.
6. Check the checkbox for MAKTX and go to Field exit menu and click on Activate submenu.
7. It asks for Transport request. give it .

8. Last and most important. You can not debug Function module created for Field exit through that program where this field exit has been implemented. But you can debug that in SE37 when u execute.

I hope that you can do it now

Thanks
Venkat

Thank you, Venkat.

We are upgrading our ECC 6 to enhancement pack 4. We have two field exits that stopped working in the upgraded development client. Our BASIS team had set the abap/fieldexit flag to YES and restarted the system. Everything seemed to be in place but the field exits were not being executed. I followed your instructions for CMOD and PRFB and it worked. One note is that PRFB indicated the statuses were already active, but I proceeded with the field exit/activate selection anyway and a transport was created.

Thank you very much!

Kathy
