In the method, where you are calling this FM. Check the sy-subrc and if it is not zero, set the error message text and a flag like x_error and pass them to container.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. Now In the workflow, check if the flag x_error is set or not.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3. If the flag x_error is set, you can send mail to SAP inbox of the concerned user.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sowmya&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When there is an error in IDOC in FM "IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS, then workflow should trigger and send a mail to SAP stating error messages.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ravi.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
