SAPLINK installation

Gentlemen,

I have an issue with Saplink installation.

I'm trying to install it on a server where the Zsaplink report is already installed but I do not have authorisation access to it.

The programs and objects I'm allowed to create or to access must begin with a certain prefix i.e Zxyz.

I've tried to rename in the installation all the occurences of Zsaplink as ZXYZSAPLINK but report activation fails due to an error at the statement 'call method ZXYZSAPLINK=>getplugins' because the method is unknown.

Any idea ?

You need to rename ZSAPLINK class to ZXYZSAPLINK in the code given below in your program

CLASS ZSAPLINK DEFINITION

CREATE PUBLIC

ABSTRACT.

Thanks Tripat,

I had already renamed it before: I created a report called ZXYXSAPLINK where I copied the file Zsaplink_installer.txt in which I renamed every occurence of the string 'ZSAPLINK' with the string 'ZXYXSAPLINK'.

When I try to activate it I get the message 'the method method ZXYZSAPLINK=>getplugins' is unknown or protected or private.

So I could not have the opportunity to use the file NUGG_SAPLINK-0.1.4.nugg in which I also replaced 'ZSAPLINK' with 'ZXYXSAPLINK'.

Any idea ?

When i tried to create a program ZXYXSAPLINK the system gave me following message, i doubt if this is creating problem


Program names ZX... are reserved for includes of exit function groups
    Message no. DS 027
Diagnosis
    You attempted to create a program name beginning with ZX but this name
    range is reserved only for includes of exit function groups (function
    groups containing only function exits).
    If you want to create a program ZXaaabbb, note the following for program
    type I (Include).
    1.  The program is an include of the function group Xaaa:
        In this case, the INCLUDE ZXaaabbb statement should not be inserted
        in the main program SAPLXaaa, but in the program ZXaaaZZZ .
    2.  The program is not an include of the function group Xaaa:
         Since the syntax check for includes of this name range searches for
         the global data in the program LXaaaTOP (not ZXaaaTOP), you may not
         be able to check the include in isolation (  > check main program).
 Procedure
     Choose a different program name.

Sorry Tripat,

I thought it was irrelevant. The real prefix i'im using is actually ZST9 which stands for Student9. The training access I subscribed on a remote server states that I have to utilise such prefix for any of my development objects.

I just mentioned ZXYZ to be more generic and I must apologize for such inaccuracy in my post.

Therefore the issue should not be the specific prefix I've been using.
