Back Ground Sheduling

Hi Experts,

Can anyone solve my problem.

I want to Execute BDC for 'ME21' transaction 3 times for a day. That means for every 8 hours the BDC should be executed with out manual interacation.The BDC should be done automatically.

Please solve my problem how to schedule this in Back Ground or any other way to reach my requirement.

Hi,

You can schedule a job in background for the same via SE37.

you can write the BDC program for ME21 trnasacton and schedule it as a job to run for every 8 hours

this all can be done in Define BACKG Job.in sm36/37..

Hi,

Goto SM36 and create a background job with your program name, in the next screen select it as Date and TIme there select the everyday and give the time.

Use Program RSBDCSUB. What you need to know is the session name.

Please Explain How to shedule Job in Back Ground .. with any example..

Hi,

Go to SM36.

Create a new job by any name.

Add steps in it.

In the step specify the program which you want to run along with the variant.

Then schedule the job.

Schedule the job immediately or at particular time.

The Job can be also marked as a periodic job incase it has to run daily.
