Password generation problem

Hi All,

We are currently doing an upgrade from 4.7 to ecc6.

We have a problem with the change password button in the "User maintenance initial screen" i.e.SU01.

I enter a user id, click on the change password button, enter the password (both manually and wizard generated) and try to save it; the password doesnt get saved. i get no error message, just that the password change window remains as it is. i can exit from this window only if i select the cancel button.

However, i can change the password in the logon data tab in su01.

Please let me know if anybody has faced similar issue in the past.

Which release are you on and are you restricting the lifetime (validity) of initial or reset passwords?

Otherwise take a look at Bernhard Hochreiter's post in the thread
