Unicode Errro while calloing method of a class

Hello Experts,

I am calling a method of a class in my program,after the successful creation of

the object for that class.

call method gr_mat_valid->get_charinfo

importing

et_charinfo = p_gi_class_char_api.

It gives the error as follows,

In Unicode program the character ">" cannot appear in the names, as it does here

in the name "gr_mat_valid->get_charinfo"

Can anybody please help.

just remove the ' > 'symbol and again type it and check.

Hi,

Please use the Following.

call method gr_mat_valid =>get_charinfo

importing

et_charinfo = p_gi_class_char_api.

While using the classes and methods, the method of a class has to be called using the symbol =>.

Not ->.

Hi,

If the method is:

'Instance Method' use -> to refer to the method of the class

If the method is :

'Static Method' use => assignment to refer to the method.

Could you specify the class and method details so that if the error can ba analyzed.

I have found the solution.

Actually it was an issue of not passing the table to be fetched from this method in the changing parameters of the form.
