Page Break In smartforms

Hi all,

I am facing a problem in Smartform. This smarform has got two pages. In main window there is one table which need to come on second page. But i am getting this table at the end of the first page with only header and footer. On second page i am getting this table's data and footer. Fooer is getting repeated on both the pages. I want this whole table on second page. I am trying to insert a break point at this table, but nothin is working in this case.

Please help me with this problem.

Hi Archana,

You need to activate the Update Debugging in order to stop it to your break point.

Before saving Delivery, start debugging and Settings > Update Debugging.

I have not inserted any break point. I had just checked that ckechbox for 'at page break'. But it is not getting triggered. It is an invoice smartform.

Hi Archana,

Have u created 2 pages in ur smartform ?? u just need to call ur first page( the one which has table in main window) in the Next page column(page node) of ur first page.

Hi Suresh,

It is an Invoice smartform. It contains 2 pages. Main window for both is same. Main window has got three tables. Third table is the table which needs to come on second page.

But only header and footer r coming at the end of first page and data and footer are coming on second page.

Hi,

To put a break point in the smartform ,

You should add the program lines before the alternate condition

and code break-username or break point.Next time when you

execute your program the control will stop there.

In the footer row, conditions tab tick at the only after end of main window.

Yes Vijeta,

I have done that. But it is still giving same problem. Only when data in first two tables is large, it comes properly. But when data is less, problem occurs.

Hi Archana,

In the table node --> Conditions tab --> Check the ckeck box only on page 2.

I tried with all that by ckecking conditions in condition tab.

But nothin is working. Any change in conditions is not at all getting reflected in smartform after execution.

hi, can u try like this ,

just design the main window for the first page like this so that only 4 /5 record will be shown

for the next page some how it will be larger

This may be because of no space for the Table data in that page.So, please check you smartform once.

And regarding the Footer coming twice,

Click on the Footer Node you have option "At Page Break and At End of Table"....

Remove the Uncheck the Option "At Page Break".

Suggestion: works only if you have fixed no of records which can fit to a single page.

You can also create Folder note and insert header, main and footer, for restricting the table to come in single page.

I am not checking the option 'at page break'. Also, even if i am checking that ckeckbox, it is not affecting the print preview i am getting.

Also, can you just elaborate on statement : 'You can also create Folder note and insert header, main and footer, for restricting the table to come in single page. '

Its Quit easy follow the steps:

1. Go to the Main Window and create command before main window.

2. Go to the command properties and enable 'go to new page' checkbox and leave page number blank.

3. Go to page 2 Properties and set 'next page' properties to Page 1.

Just activate your smart form and run it.

Hi Archana,

In order to print Table3 only on the second page use the function module SSF_COMP_SET_NEXT_PAGE after the end of Table2 in the main window. This can be acheived using the program lines after Table2 in the main window.

To the FM, supply the pagename you want the next data to appear.

With this FM you would be forcing a second page. Let me know if you need more info.

you can put a condition to your footer window

that it should print after completion of the mainwindow
