Hi,

1) When I am doing Data Archivi for object SD_VBAK through tran SARA.

It auomatically creates physical patha or before that basis person creates in unix server?

Please let me know what are pre requite before execting tran SARA for Archive object SD_VBAK.

2) When Trigger SARA Tran , When we go for preprcessing orogram and write program?

Hi Srini,

1. Physical paths are not created automatically, you have to take care of creating the proper logical and physical paths. Though there are standard logical and physical paths available, it is better to configure your own, so that you can have better control over where and how the archive files are created.

1.a. there are a lot of pre-requisites before archiving SD_VBAK, such as:

- implementing right SAP notes related to archiving

- proper configuration including residence time

- archiving all dependent objects

2. pre-processing is to see whether the sales documents in the selection criteria are archivable, you can run this before actual archiving itself to see which documents are archivable and which are not. write is to perform actual archiving (to create archive files)
