Table Maintenance - Update data - Getting error message

Hi,

I created a table maintenance for a Ztable to enter entries in large scale in Dev servor.

The same was moved to QAS (Testing servor) along with the table. We did not move data into this

servor.

So, here again I tried to maintain the table maintenance using SM30 ie trying to enter data using the same, but I am getting a ERROR message "Create data processing function module" and the

procedure given in the error message is " The data processing function module must be re-generated".

Please explain me did I miss any thing while transporting to QAS or should I perform some avtivity before maintaining the table maintenance of the particular table.

Hi,

Check whether the table you are trying has table manitenance generated in Quality or not. I mean check whether it exists or not. In case it doesn't you need to transport that as well from development.

Yes the table maintenance exists in Quality servor .

Hi,

If you made any changes to the table other than just the table maintenance, cross check them once and may be try re-generating table maintenance in development and transport that to Quality. I dont see any other reason why it was not working in Quality system.

Hi All,

The reason for not able to update entries through table maintenance has been found out.

The function group was not moved to QAS along with the ZTABLE and table maintenance

view. So, finally move the same to QAS.

Problem solved.
