Dump in ALV while downloading

Hello Gurus,

In my ZPROGRAM when I am trying to download ALV to local system it is going for short dump with runtime error GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED.

I am using FM 'REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE' for buliding fieldcatalogue.

and FM 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' for displaying alv.

Please suggest the solution.

it is mainly because of layout or Fieldcatalog. Are you passing any layout information..??

how are you creating you Fieldcatalog, is it from Structure or Internal table.

Hello vijay,

I am using ztable as structure to fm alv_fieldcatalogue_merge

which has some currency fields

what about layout..??

if you specify anything wrong in layout also you will get the error.

can you show the ALV Function call..??

what are you passing in GD_LAYOUT, check what options you are filling in layout. if you send some wrong values you will get the same error.

GD_LAYOUT-COLWIDTH_OPTIMIZE = 'X'.

GD_LAYOUT-COLTAB_FIELDNAME = 'TABCOLOR'.

GD_LAYOUT-NO_HOTSPOT = 'X'.

GD_LAYOUT-COLTAB_FIELDNAME = 'TABCOLOR'.

Ok, as per the above code, if there is no field in internal table called TABCOLOR then you will get the similar dump. Check you have the fieldname called TABCOLOR in your internal table or not.
