TECH COMPLETION is not done through BAPI_ALM_CONF_CREATE

Hi,

I am using BAPI_ALM_CONF_CREATE to create confirmation for PM / CS service orders.

I have pass necessary data in BAPI and I have done followin things in TIMETICKET internal table.

Import

POST_WRONG_ENTRIES = '0'

TESTRUN = ''

tables

1. FIN_CONF = 'X'

2. COMPLETE = 'X'

3. Have put service Order

4. Actual Work, Unit of work, Act Type, Act Indicator, operation number

5. Executed

6. called BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT

After Doing all this things I am getting message that confirmation saved successfully.

But when I see confirmation for order in IW42 still the TECH COMPLETION BUTTON is not clicked, I mean to say In service order TECO status is not getting updated.

Can anybody help me out.

HI,

Are you testing this in SE37 or in report program ?

If you are testing in SE37 then even if you call the FM BAPI_ALM_CONF_CREATE first and later if you call FM BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT it is of no use .. the data does not get updated in database.

To test in SE37 you need to follow this

SE37(don't give FM name)

Using Menu path Function Module->Test->Test Sequences now you get the Pop-up here you enter the FM in this order

BAPI_ALM_CONF_CREATE

BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT and press ok and give the input and execute.

Hi,

I have forget to mention but I am already using test sequences in SE37 and above function module but still it was not doiong TECO COMPLETION button.

Is it really possible to do TECO completion through BAPI_ALM_CONF_CREATE?

check the BAPI documentation:

Testrun
The TESTRUN parameter is used to control if the transferred confirmation data is only 
checked for correctness. In this mode, objects such as order/message and reservation 
are not locked, and the databases are not updated.

Hi,

I have also not put test run as 'X', it is blank.

My problem is when we do TECO from IW42, the TECH COMPLETION button is disabled and we get a tick mark over there.

This thing I am not able to achieve through BAPI_ALM_CONF_CREATE.

Hi,

BAPI_ALM_CONF_CREATE will not update the TECO status for order.

It just confirms the Operations of order.

IF you want to update Order status as TECO you have to use BAPI BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN.
