Parameters and select options

Hi all,

Im new to abap.

I need your advice.

Is it the only way to control the text to be displayed on screen for Parameters and Select-Options code is to maintain it in Text Elements-> Selectiong Texts?

Any others alternative to do this?

Im modifying ABAP standard report by added new selection options using enhancement point. The selection screen displaying variable name as i used for selection options.

And I do not want to modify the standard report Text Elements-> Selectiong Texts object.

Any comments/suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

You cannot change ABAP Standard Program which is provided by SAP until and unless u have access key.

To Change parameters/select-options texts, you have to go to text elements as u said.

if you wanna get default values in parameters/select-options, use INITIALIZATION.

orelse go thorugh ABAP Dictionary, you will find few examples on parameters to write different kind of syntaxes.
