ztable Record updation

Hi,

My requirement is to update the existing record in the database table (ztable) from selection screen.

Actually iam retrieving the records when i enter few fields and press enter then iam able get the records against the key fields on the selection-screen but when iam modifing the existing fields value in the selection screen , the modified data is not updated into the ztable. Here my parameter is holding the existing value which is their in the database table but not the modified value.

Try using 'COMMIT' and check......

Hi,

fine but at selection screen before modifing iam retrieving the existing record and when iam modifing it its holding the existing data which is their in the database table but not the modified data.

can you provide code that you are using the problem must be in your code I think the place where you are writting code is selecting the data before PBO and after PAI

Hi,

on selection-screen iam i have taken a push button for modify.

on selection screen i have entered the details into the text boxes which is declared as a parameter and executed. This data is inserted into the data base table.

At selection screen i have written a select statement such that when i enter the obligatory fields in the selection screen and press enter then it should retrieve the particular record from the database table and display on the selection text boxes.

for modify push button i have defined modif id as 'f21' and at selection screen i have defined case condition and trying to modifing from here.

Plz let me know where should i modify the values when i press the modify buttom.

Hi,

Instead of going for selection screen fields iam going for Module pool program for designing the screen with table control such that this problem will be solved.
