LSMW for PP01 causing runtime error when running in background

I have created LSMW to assign object relationship in TCODE PP01.

The problem occur when I tried to run the session in background, it says: 'Runtime error RAISE_EXCEPTION has occurred'

It was fine, if I were to run it in foreground.

Can I anyone help?

Hi,

Basically if any dailogue comes while running in the background job system goes to the dump. Just observe by processing foreground and check if any error or popup message is coming, which is required user input. Then you need to correct the Recording.

Sreenivasa... thanks for your reply.

This LSMW really cracked my head because no error occur if i were to process it in foreground, and for errors only.. the issue only appear when I process it in backgroud.

When background processing gives error...

We have to check whether in foreground any error or pop up is coming... in that case background processing will give an error..

My Case : while recording in PP01 I pressed an enter after providing the ID to check whether the ID is correct or not and then I selected the infotype and clicked on create button..

So every-time the recording ran that "enter" gave me warning no object found in status bar... which was fine in foreground but gave error in background...

Solution : Directly click on create button after providing the id in my case org id and selecting the infotype.
