Hi All

I am extending an basic IDoc and accomodating 4 more fields to the IDoc.I am new to this.Please anybody give me details to get this done.

Hi,

Use the transaction we30 to extend the idoc.

Select the extension rado button and process...

If u want in detail...

Give the Idoc name(to create) ...select the extension radi0 button and click create...it will ask u for the basic idoc type...provide this and the idoc will be created and place the cursor on the segments and click create to add new segmentss or fields...

Go to we31.

Modify / create an existing/new segment type.

Save, Activate and release the segment type.

CReate an Extension in we30 transaction by choosing the Extension Radio Button and create new by linking the Basic Type.

Add the new segment to the existing IDoc type.if you have added fields to an existing segment, just activate the Extension.

hi.

You can do that using T code WE30.

Steps :

1. create the segment types of the extended segments from WE31.

2. Add these created segments in WE30.
