Custom Conversion Routine in Customer Namespace?

Hello everybody,

for some custom domains, I would like to create a custom Conversion Routine for display of specially formatted values. The help for Conversion Routines in the domain creation screen says, that I have to create two function modules CONVERSION_EXIT_xxxxx_INPUT and CONVERSION_EXIT_xxxxx_OUTPUT to do this.

Now these function modules are in the SAP namespace, which I cannot use. Is there any way to create these function modules in the customer namespace?

I tried the same in my SAP ECC 6.0

1) Created a func group ZZ001

2) Created func CONVERSION_EXIT_ZZ001_INPUT

I got a popup "Function module name is reserved for SAP" but after pressing ENTER I was able to create my function.

Hello Erik,

I tried the same and it seems possible to create a function module with this name. But are there any consequences with this proceedure? Do I need a modification for this? Is the transport flagged in some way?

My client is rather strict in his "We stick to custom development in our namespace"-Policy.

search filed exit in SCN.
