BDC - Create Recording Pop up

Hi Experts,

In the create recording pop up screen in SHDB transaction, the following four check boxes are there.

1. Default Size

2. Cont. after commit

3. Not a batch input session

4. Simulate background mode

Can you please throw more light on this.

Hi,

below given is the explanation for each.

1. Default screen size for CALL TRANSACTION USING...

2.CALL TRANSACTION USING... is not completed by COMMIT

3.SY-BINPT=SPACE for CALL TRANSACTION USING...

4. this is the simulate the recording in background.

Default size : to work on any resolution.

Not a batch input session : sets the SY-BINPT vairable to X if you do not select it and vice versa.

Simulate background mode :If you do recording using this option you will get the code suitable for background mode. If you do not select this option you will get a code for foreground mode.

hi,

1) Default size is with respect to your system resolution. Because in some transactions such as ME51 for the table control, the no. of lines during normal transaction and while recording vary.

i.e during normal transaction without recording you have 20 lines but while recording it is 14 lines in BDC recording. Hence, you would be on safer side while recording if you are checking that check box.

2)Cont. after commit:

This is for synchronous data base update

3)Batch input session

This is checked if your recording is for testing purposes.

Hi,

Those four options are available in shdb.

To make use of those options u have to hav a table CTU_PARAMS in which u can see those options.

while using call transaction u can make use of this table.

Particularly for some njoy transactions option 3 in shdb or NOBINPT in ctu_params is useful to execute the bdc in N mode.

set NOBINPT to X.
