Dear all,

I faced a problem in our systems and am not able to solve it on my own.

Some users tried to translate message texts within the SE91 via Goto --> Translation from German (DE) to English (EN). But if you try this you get the error message "Empty object list" (long text Message No. TL565).

So I investigated the problem and find out that the German language was missing in report RSCPINST. So I add the German language in all systems in report RSCPINST and the problem was solved in all (4) beside one system.

I also looked into OSS but could not find a proper solution.

Does anybody has an idea why it doesn't work on this 1 system?

Does anybody did have the same problem once?

Thanks for your answers.

Regards

Jochen

Hi,

I'm having similar problem related to the translation of Mod. Pool screens. or the Mod. Pool text symbols.

I'm getting the same error Empty object list. Same this also if you try to access from SE32 or SE38.

Workaround hint: I copied Mod. Pool into local object and I was able to access translation of the screen and the text symbols of the Mod. Pool.

I guess the copy removed some restriction related it that. don't know if this hint may help.

Any clue what happend and what was the restriction?

Hi Ramzi,

I opened an OSS message for the problem described. Enclosed you will find the answer in German (original answer from SAP) and English (translated by me, so no warranty 😞

English:

The result is the same TL565 empty objectlist. Via the Where-Used-List I found the function group SAPLLXE_OBJ_MAIN. TL565 is "& & &" and therefore it is filled with symbols. TEXT-108 = "empty objectlist". The breakpoints told me that the reason why TEXT-108 is displayed. It is that translation is not necessary. (function LXE_OBJ_SLEX_IIB).

This message will be created for message class ZXYZ during translation DE > EN as well as EN > DE. This will not happen if you start the translation for another message class (e.g. FB).

This answer doesn't help me and doesn't also solve my problem but maybe it is helpful for anyone else.

Regards

Jochen
