Hi all,

The Idoc type for material is MATMAS01. Now I want to send an Idoc with material information from my system to the client system populating data from standard material tables into this Idoc. I am using the standard Idoc MATMAS01.Can anyone please help me to expaing how to populate data into the Idoc.

Check and see if you can use transaction BD10

see the documentation availabe ....click on "i" button once you are in BD10..

Hi Varun,

You can use transaction code BD10 to send material to other SAP client or BD11 to get material. Please make sure all ALE and Partner Profile setup have been done.

Varun,

do you prefer to use a standard tools or you prefer to develop a custom application to send the idoc?

For standard tools you can use ale customizing according with partner profiles (trx. bd64, WE20); for custom application you can use fm 'MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE'.

Hi,

I went to Tcode BD10 and entered the range of materials.When executed(F8) These are the messages displayed to me.

<b>64 master Idocs set up for message type MATMAS.

0 communication Idoc's set up for Message type MATMAS.</b>

Are the Idocs generated ? If they are generated How can I view My Idocs ? Please Explain me in detail.

I am new to Idocs. So I am trying to see how they work. What I am trying to see is How to generate Idocs for material using MATMAS01 and how to view the contents of these Idocs . If my query seems to be silly please excuse me.

Please check the following website. It will give you an idea how to setup ALE and partner profile stuff. Please go to material master section and click on template.

Use transaction WEDI(it is an area menu tcode). Look at all the transactions there, it will give you an idea. WE02 is the IDoc list transaction.
