Problems with translating a smartform

Hello,

I'm trying to translate a smartform with SE63 and i keep on running into a problem. When i translate the smartform and launch the form in the target language it's all fine but as soon as i make some modifications to the smartform or just activate it then the whole translation dissapears. What am i doing wrong here?

Try this way.......

Go to SE63:

~~> Translation-> Abap objects->>Other long texts->>>FS Forms and Styles FORM Forms~~>>>FORM Forms

here client and form name

like 100 y_test_form

Then fill in form name , source language = FR, target language = EN.

Hello,

That doesnt work because it's a smartform. I did it like you said but the last step was SAP smart forms.

And it discards the modifications after i have activated the smartform.

Hi,

Actually It is due to a bug in SAP for SMARTFORMS transaction. What you need to do is:

- Go to transaction SE63

- do your translation and activate

- Keep your SE63 screen open

Make all your changes to smartform and activate. If you close your SE63 screen, you will lose all your changes.

Alternatively, if your translation is complete, put it in a TR via transaction SLXT, and release it but do not transport it, then you will not lose your translation.

When you need to move your objects to other systems, create a new TR for your translation.
