Dynamically assign role to user

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to programmatically assign an existing user to an existing role in ECC system. Is there any standard Function module or any other way of achieving this. Your inputs would be appreciated.

check this one, First one is for ur requirement

BAPI_USER_ACTGROUPS_ASSIGN -- To assign Roles to User

BAPI_USER_GET_DETAILS - To get User Details

SUPRN_INS_OR_DEL_PROFILE -- To insert or delete a Profile

RSBCTDPE_GET_ROLE_FOR_USER -- To see Roles per User
