Query regarding Pop-up screen

Hi experts,

In my requirement I need a pop-up screen to be displayed for a particular condition, similar to the pop-up given by FM POPUP_TO_CONFIRM with a text msg and YES , NO and CANCEL button, but on the same screen.

Above FM gives pop-up but on another screen.I want my pop-up window to be on the same selection screen(with a dimension smaller than the selection screen).

I know a possible way could be CALL SCREEN , but I am not gettin it right.

Can anybody help me out, regarding this query?

Hi,

Create a sub-screen and take three buttons for YES, NO and CANCEL on it with appropiate function code.

And in your program write code to call this screen:-


CALL SCREEN '0100'.

And handle the flow as per your requirement i.e., handle the buttons clicks.

Try the following FMs, see if it helps:

POPUP_TO_CONFIRM_DATA_LOSS

POPUP_TO_CONFIRM_LOSS_OF_DATA

All confirms an action before carrying out

POPUP_TO_CONFIRM will give error window from where it is called.

Use same FM it wont give any problem.....

This works similar to POPUP_TO_CONFIRM, but i want the pop-up overlapping a part of selection screen

try to create a subscreen area on the main screen with the dimensions that is required.

in Screen Painter. SE51.

POPUP_TO_CONFIRM_WITH_MESSAGE :

Create a dialog box in which you inform the user about a specific decision point during an action.

While calling the screen I am getting a run time error, I think we cant call subscreen directly.

I have tried with creating a screen but the screen will not be overlapped with the selection screen.But i want it to be overlapped.

Hi,

In FM POPUP_TO_CONFIRM, you can specify start column and row for POPUP .

Parameters START_COLUMN and START_ROW.Use this parameters for the popup box to overlap your selection screen.

Are you validating some thing on selection screen , if Use at selection screen output .

Try

At selection-screen output .

Hi,

Create a screen in SE51 and call this screen in the program as:


CALL SCREEN '0100' STARTING AT 10 6
                   ENDING AT 90 12.

I have already tried all these options but, my requirement is the pop-up should be overlapping the selection screen, ie the selection screen should be partially seen.

Hi,

I got the solution to my problem.Since I was working with selection screen, as soon as we press F8 or execute the selection screen disappears.Hence I have coded the code before START-OF-SELECTION and it is working fine.
