How To copy Modul Pool Program and Smartform to create new Program

hi Good morning everyone

I have one modul pool Program this attached with smartform.

By Using same Program I need to create New program which having same functionality.

In this i need to change alignment without disturbing the existing program.

Hi Jagadish,

Go to Se80, Enter ur program name, and right click on the program, select Copy Option give the target name of the Program.

in case of smartforms, go to Tcode SMARTFORMS, select copy and give ur target smartform name and

go to ur new program change the smartform name with new smartform name.

From the Tcode: Se80 ,u can copy the Module pool

just right click on the selected prgm. and click on copy, there u can copy to another z-program,

for the program option i am agree with Mr. Reddy....

But in case of smartform don't go for copy option because when you will change the copied version...the original smartform will also be changed....so always go for "Download" & "Upload" option.....first download your old smartform in your pc.....the you again upload it by giving new name..

After Coping the module pool programs Includes name are remained same if i changed the name of includes is it effect old original program???

or i can change Include name by right clicking and rename option ?

One thing i want know all this includes are belongs copied program or old program?

Hi,

You can copy a module pool program but you cant copy the standard includes in your z program as same name, as you cant edit them.

So create a zinclude and then copy its contents.

Or right click on include name and click COPY and give target z program name and new include name as a zinclude.

Your copy method is wrong.......when within this process the popup box of include program will come keep the same name by putting 'Y' or 'Z' before that......and also you have to select the line by clicking the 'SEL' filed of left...

Dear Tarun

I have Copied the program in that i have Z includes

i need to change those to Y object.

what i am asking is if i change this any thing will happen to original main program

eg: My original Program is Z_FI_CHKPRNT this one i copied by clicking copy and target name i Gaven as Y_FI_CHKPRNT

in this some Z includes are there those i need to chane to Y includes

Steps

1. Shall i rename the Includes? if i rename anything happen to my Z program.

2. or i need to copy includes and i need to create target as Y includes?

3. After Creating this includes in Y includ if i delete Z includ means it will effect my Y program

or it will effect Z program also.

Hi,

If you are changing the names of the include from Z to Y then there seems no reason to effect the original inlcude.

Try to copy into a new include with different name, rather than copying and renaming them.
