Namespaces

We have developed an add-on in the namespace /XSTREAM/,

software component XSTREAM,

software component version 110_600.

We would now like to develop another add-on product using our same reserved namespace /XSTREAM/.

But what about the namespace for the add-on software component? Do we need to reserve a new namespace for each new add-on software product that we create?

In transaction SSDC, path environment->create/update add-on software component, a new software component must be a derivative of a registered namespace or it will not create.

So, can we continue to develop in the /XSTREAM/ namespace, and register new namespaces for each new add-on product?

i have the same question like you.

we have 2 produkts in one reserved namespace.

Do we need to reserve a new namespace for each new add-on software product that we create?

in the forum is no answer to your question, do you have an answer?

Hello Roman,

yes. For a new AddOn (new AddOn name), a new namespace is required.

I think it is not essential, to develop your AddOn in this new namespace,

but SSDC checks the existence of the namespace.

With this relation the AddOn name will be unique.
