I have a SmartForm print program used to print invoices from tcode VF02. In the print program I have tried to implement an auth check on a custom auth object. The auth check seems to work fine from the print preview(VF02 -> Billing dcoument -> issue output to -> Print preview, it alsow works fine when outputting from tcode vf31)) but when you enter VF02, hit return, -> Goto -> Header -> output and try to print/fax/email from here, the program seems to start the whole output process in the update task. The result is that the auth checks in the print program always return sy-subrc = 0 ( which means either the auth check passed or it was not performed). Since I know what user the auth check is being done for( I specified it on the call to authority-check) and i know which auths that user has I am assuming that the auth check is not being performed in the update task(correct me if this is wrong).

A long winded intro to the question.... How can I force the auth checks to be performed my print program if it is called in the update task?

Regards

Greg Kern

Hi Greg,

I know this is very late, but I have the same problem. An Authority Check not being performed in a user exit within a Update Task. Could you please tell me how you solved your problem?

Many Thanks

Ernesto
