validating the grid output list on screen

Hi,

I am using 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' FM to display the list output with two columns as input enabled. My requirement is i want to validate the input enabled columns while inputing the data on the screen. Can any one give me the solution.

i want to validate on the grid output. i.e, validating the input enabled fields based on the input on the output list.

my requirement is :

say for example i have two input enabled fields in the list output. one for status and another for reason code. based on my input status i want to grayed out the other field. hope i am clear.

the field which u r editing ,that value should be checked for validity in the corresponding database table..

select single field

from dbtab

into workarea

where field = ''

refer program bcalv_edit_03 for more info...

I did something where I had an input-enabled ALV Grid and when the user hit ENTER or SAVED, I would check to see if a user id matched their ID. If that was the case, I would send an error message in a popup. On the initial display of the grid, if the user ID on the table matched their ID, the fields were greyed out - not editable. Is that similar to what you're looking to do?
