Trouble locking BoM

Hello Gurus,

We need to set the Lock at Alternate BOM's Level( Material ).We are using FM ENQUEUE_EBOM_LOCK but it is locking the header BOM Level.The lock object used is EBOM_LOCK which has fields STLTY,STLNR,STLAL.Even if you pass STLAL it still locks the BOM Header.

Please get us some suggstions as the issue is highly critical.Please let us know if any OSS notes is there.

That is weird.

After enqueueing, and before unlocking, have you checked SM12, to see which tables are locked - to ascertain your statement that alternate BOM level isn't locked?

I thought about it, but as it his first post, I let it pass. I assume he'll take the time to read the Rules of Engagement. I hope so.

To the OP. Why are you asking for OSS notes? Why not look for them, and if you can't find any - raise a support call?

sorry Matt about my temper. If I could, I'd reply to all posts with titles like "Application Server Question", "Reports", "alv problem", etc. Help. People forget that they have 50 characters to be as accurate as possible about what the issue is + the context.
