table maintenance problem ?

Hi all,

When i try to activate my ztable in table maintenance generator iam getting the following information message :

Field ZPT_ALT_HISTORY-P_MATNR shortened (new visible length: 000009)

Diagnosis

There is not enough space to display all fields in full length on screen 0241.

System Response

The generation continues, but field ZPT_ALT_HISTORY-P_MATNR is a rollable field with visible length 000009 on screen 0241.

Procedure

You can edit screen 0241 manually.

Goto SE14 and use adjust and activate database.

this will solve your problem.

it has nothing to with SE14... The problem is that the screen is not wide enough and one field won't be displayed in full. it is only display, the data is not truncated at all. You can manually change the screen, if you want (as described in the error).

Goto SE11, table maintenance screen, double click on screen no, then change/increase the character size of the same.

Save and Activate.

Hi,

The width of your maintainence screen is short.

You can do one thing.

Go to the Table

Utilities--> Table Maintainence Generator

Environment~~>Modification~~>Maintainence Screen-

Go to Layout--> here you can stretech the Screen and Make the visible length of matnr according to your choice.

I have done that , again the same error coming and its asking me to modify compare flag after

changes ?

Hi,

in the Table Maintainence generator screen(Utilities-->Table Maintainence generator)

there is a field called Compare flag.

Make it as Automatically Adjustable.
