If there is a BADI for a given transaction, can I assume that the transaction is purely coded in ABAP OO? In other words, can a BADI be created for a program which is written in npn OO ABAP?

Thanks in advance

Nanda Kishore

All programs that have BADIs are 100% percent OO. Is this assumption correct?

Regards

Nanda Kishore

Hi Kishore,

BADI's are called and defined using OOPS concept. But that does not necessarily mean that "100%" of a program is written on OOPS concept.

Using OOPS concept generally means using METHODS and CLASSES.

Even a custom report can be developed on OOPS concept if performs and Function Modules are replaced with CLASSES and METHODS. Instead of writting a piece of code in a perform, it can be written inside a CLASS of a METHOD. This is referred to as programming based on OOPS concept.

Hope this clears your doubt.

Regards,

Abhisek.
