Hi all!

I have created a small report containing a dynpro. The dynpro has got a subscreen where I include a selection screen that I have defined in my report. It also contains a custom container for an ALV.

I defined a status with default functions. It contains only the exit / back buttons a some custom buttons. Now my question: the save button the create variants for the program is disabled. I wonder how to activate it? Is it neccessary to self-implement the feature?

Thank you!

Greetings,

Florian

Hi Florian,

Just inlcude save button in your GUI status. It will automatically trigger standard save variant "procedure" when being clicked, hence variant button will appear.

Regards

Marcin

Hi Marcin!

Unforunately it does not work. I include the SAVE function in my function keys standard toolbar. It fires the event 'save' too but there is no procedure triggered to create the variant. When pushing the button, PAI is proccessed and the next screen is called. The next screen is the dynpro itself means both are 100.

I think about creating a variant with function module RS_CREATE_VARIANT. This should work too, don't it?

Greetings,

Florian

Ooooh! I noticed that it is correct that I couldn't save a variant: because it is a dynpro application it is not batch mode compatible! So I can't save variants, right?

Hehe probably this is the reason. When you wrote it is not working I was curious why and run my SAP, but couldn't remind myself where I used that and was working fine. I think you answered that yourself, this can be done however in selection screen as far as I remember.

In module pool you will have to use FMs. See this [example|; it is very useful.

Regards

Marcin
