i am doing an alv when i select a column and select the totals,it is displaying a message that select at least one column.please tell why it showing that message and that is a numeric column only....

second is after gettiing total is there any way to capture the totals displayed by ALV.ie. can perform any actions on the totals displayed by ALV,, please suggest.

Hi Kiran,

Well the reason for the message could be that you are not selecting the column properly. Select the column by clicking on the Column header & then click on Total.

To get the total value, you will have to handle the event of Total Button click manually & do the calculations.

Select the columns for which you require subtotals by clicking on the column header.

Choose Subtotal or Edit -> Subtotal.
