Data overflow in the internal table

Hi Friends,

I am hitting table CDHDR and getting a huge data based on date range and the problem is the internal table is not able to hold the entire data selected and hence it is going for run time error. Could you please suggest an idea to overcome this?

Better to use Objectclass field in where clause or run for user and small date range

Restrict data from CDHDR...

You can definitely do that..

Hi,

I have the class and the date range only. I do not have any more data to restrict. I am using the class as 'MATERIAL' and the date range given in selection screen.

Hi,

here is the code i have written...

Get all changes to materials in the given date range

SELECT objectclas " Object Class

objectid " Object Value

changenr " Change Document Number

udate " Changed Date

utime " Changed Time

FROM cdhdr

INTO TABLE gt_cdhdr

WHERE objectclas EQ c_clas_material

AND udate IN s_date.

Please try and convince the Functional consultant to track the changes by Material or material group..

Changes in Material will be too large in number.. even if you get data, processing would take a lot of time on such huge data..

Add any other fields that can restrict the number of materials and from that you can create another key field for CDHDR

Can you run with just one day instead of one week or one month and see if the run time error goes away?
